All classes
require a minimum of 3 students and must be paid for in advance. If you and 2 of your friends would like to schedule
private classes, please contact the store.
We encourage all
students to use their own machines, but we do have some that can be rented for
$5 per class session. If you would like to use one of our machines, please let
us know at the time of registration. These machines are on a first come, first
served basis. Rental fee can be applied
to the purchase of a new machine.
When bringing
your own machine to class, please remember to bring all feet, attachments,
cords and manuals. If you have a machine that is new to you, or hasn't been
used recently, please make sure it is in good working condition. Contact the
store if you would like to schedule a cleaning or service of your machine.
A working knowledge
of your machine will make your sewing time much more enjoyable and successful.
Feel free to contact us to schedule a time to help you learn how to use your
machine to its potential. These sessions should be scheduled at least one week
prior to attending any classes and are offered for $25 per hour.
Basic Sewing
These are our
most essential classes. We believe that these classes represent what’s best
about sewing and being creative. Whether you are just starting out, or looking
to sharpen your skills, there is something for you here.
Embroidery
In these
embroidery classes, you can learn everything you need to know about the
process. From lining up your hoops, to picking fabrics and stabilizers, we have
the knowledge and experience to get you going on the right foot. Classes range
from beginner to advanced and rotate frequently.
Computer
In our computer
classes, everyone is a whiz kid. You should have a basic knowledge of operating
a computer, but you don't need to be an expert. In these classes you work with
embroidery digitizing programs primarily.
You will learn to take your designs, or patterns you buy or download, and create wonderful wearable works of art.
Quilting
These classes
will help you keep your quilting skills sharp. Learn some new fun techniques,
and take on some great projects. There is always something new to do here, and
always a project to start (or finish). Take on a quilting class for that
special family project.
